My name is Stephen Sengebush, and I am an Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Ceramicist, and aspiring Comic Book creator. There are many fine blogs that you'll find linked here - blogs that discuss materials, review books, and can be relied upon for daily inspiration. I encourage you to follow these links and support these people - they've put their lives and loves on display for us, and that sort of thing should be encouraged.
So why does this one exist? The short answer is I'm not 100% sure. I'm hoping that this can serve as a kind of repository for useful links and information, In 2012, I realized that I wanted to write and draw my own comics, and had no real idea where to start. So if you are someone who wants to understand how comics are made, and even make your own, you might find it useful. While there are many great resources available with which to learn the various methods that comic artists use, all but a few of them are pretty narrowly targeted, and each has critical information that the others lack.
Thus I encourage you to tolerate my occasional distractions and often hurried sketches, because together we can learn something.
